We are currently preparing a service opener called "2000 years...". These are some thoughts that inspired the idea for the opener:
Relevancy: Every healthy church pursues it. Without it, we miss the chance to impact generations that are coming up beside us and behind us. We look to communicate our message on wave lengths that people may encounter within their day-to-day lives. Using the latest and greatest technological discoveries, we present the Message in ways that are thought provoking. We preach Christ and Him crucified through lights, media and mannequins.
Legacy: A legacy is established by sustained relevancy. If we can remain relevant, we will make history for generations to come.
Long before we came....long before the glamor of worship's modern appeal...long before mindless tradition could attempt to taint her image...there was THE CHURCH. Through THE CHURCH, God was shaking and changing nations before the bells and whistles of a mac-daddy sound board ever did. Long before we had stage lights, THE CHURCH was the beacon of His Truth. For 2000 years, she has been, is, and will always be RELEVANT!
